Velour is a new Chicago band that is currently working on their first CD together. The members of the band all have several years of valuable stage experience (shows @ the House of Blues, Double Door, Taste of Chicago, Naperville Ribfest, etc.) as well as top-notch studio experience (Chicago Recording Company, 35th Street Studios, etc.), and have worked together in various other original bands in the Chicago area. The current Velour lineup is basically a combination of members from forgotten toys and everwonder.

The music of Velour could be classified as Adult Contemporary / Modern Rock, and is very similar to that of Tonic, Goo Goo Dolls, or Matchbox 20. They create driving rock rhythms, creatively blending straightforward crisp rock instrumentation, catchy hooks, tasteful harmonies, and vocal melodies that you'll have stuck in your head all day.

radio airplay...
The members of Velour have enjoyed a small share of airtime on a few major Chicagoland radio stations and about a dozen college stations. The recorded original music from their other various bands has received a decent amount of airplay, and they have also done a few interviews and live performances on-the-air.

fans & following...
While the band is relatively new, members of Velour have enjoyed regular exposure in their other bands, which should result in a healthy initial interest in the new lineup. From there, the band knows what it takes to build a fan base, and is ready to work at amassing a solid, steady following, in order to produce consistent turnouts at shows.

new day productions, who currently represents Velour, has worked hard at organizing and participating in several fund-raiser/benefit shows (Midwest flood relief, Toys for Tots, Animal Shelter Benefits, etc.) that have received national attention for their successes.
